MANAGEMENT OFFICERS
The officers who manage the STU have proven work experience in their assigned field. They have sound knowledge of office procedures, experience with management software, strong organizational skills, and an aptitude for problem-solving. They also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can pay attention to details.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees of St. Thomas University is the governing body of the University. All powers and management of all activities and affairs are handled under the direction of the Board of Trustees. Trustees are elected by the Board of Trustees of the sponsoring organization, chosen from individuals who enjoy academic and economic prestige and high moral standing.
University President
Prof. Allen COATS MEADORS, Ph.D., LFACHE, is the President of St. Thomas University and has the legal representation of the University before public authorities. Under the supervision of the Board of Trustees, the President generally manages and directs all activities and affairs of the University.
Dr. MEADORS has an extensive background in Higher Education having served as Chancellor or resident of three US universities and one foreign. He is a Fulbright Specialist and has been an academic dean at two American universities. He served as a health administrator in the United States Air Force and as an executive with Blue Cross and Blue Shields. He has served on Accreditation teams and numerous boards and commissions.
Provost
Dr. Roger Glenn BROWN, Ph.D., in his role as Provost, has academic responsibility for STU and reports directly to the university president. Dr. Brown has experience in international student recruitment, student internships, and online teaching. Brown believes that. Students should have a voice in planning their degree choice, and they will have support from faculty to reach their goals. As Provost, Dr. Brown will work with deans, department heads, and faculty to provide the best online learning and assistance for student success.
Librarian
Dr. Casanna JACKSON, MSOL, MLIS, in his role as Librarian is directly responsible to the Provost of the university and has a mission to support the University’s educational programs by providing access to high-quality resources and services, creating a technology-rich environment conducive to learning, and providing individual attention and focused assistance to foster success and personal growth through library instruction and research. The university works to improve society by providing quality education, while the library improves education by teaching users to use resources effectively through instruction and research.
Chief Information Officer
Dr. Kevin T. CROUSE, DBA CISSP, CISM, CIPP/E, CIPM, is the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and an adjunct professor of Information Technology and Cybersecurity at Purdue Global University. Dr. Crouse has served as director of information security and NTT professor of cybersecurity at Illinois State University (ISU). Dr. Crouse holds a doctorate in business administration with a specialization in cybersecurity and information security, a master’s degree in public administration with a specialization in policy analysis, planning, and program evaluation, and a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He holds numerous industry certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP/E). His current research areas include behavioral analysis of hackers and hacktivists, cyber risk management, and security models based on cyber resilience. In addition, he has been the principal investigator of numerous grant projects over the years. He has presented multiple conferences on online learning, continuous quality improvement, cybersecurity, technology delivery, and service by design.
Chief Financial Officer
Dr. Anna SCAPIN is the Chief Financial Officer of the St. Thomas University. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is appointed directly by the President to whom he reports. The CFO is responsible for the management and planning of STU’s financial activities, is responsible for financial administration, including the development of proposed budgets and long-term financial planning. The university offices of the Treasurer, Controller, Budget and Planning, Business Services, and Supply Chain Services directly report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Dr. Scapin has more than 20 years of experience in various institutional settings. Before joining the University, she was an Italian tax auditor and chartered accountant and she served in leadership roles for Italian companies and international companies, providing oversight for the controller’s office, treasury management, and financial operations.
She is a member of the research committee for third-sector entities at the order of chartered accountants and accounting experts of Milan and she is a member of the board of directors of companies with the role of the controller’s office.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Economy from the University of Verona, and several management courses.
